Narnia, the land of eternal winter, where animals talk and good is evil. Narnia is a winter wonderland with enchanting forests, crystal clear lakes, and snow topped mountains. This hidden paradise lies on the other side of an ancient wooden door in England that leads to an unknown world full of mystery. The Chronicles of Narnia tells the story of Lucy Pevensie who finds herself in this strange land while exploring her father's study one snowy Christmas Eve. She was bitter and hateful towards Narnia and all who lived there. She was the eldest child in a family of three boys and one girl, but she was considered to be the favorite because she had a beautiful singing voice. As the years passed, the Witch became stronger and more cruel in her youth. She feared that she would never be as beautiful as all of her siblings, so she decided to take revenge on them by destroying their chances of being loved. Her brothers were banished from the land of Narnia by their father because they did not love Aslan, and her sister was killed by a rogue lion. The Witch became so twisted and so full of hatred that she cast a deep spell on Narnia to turn it into a place where she could live forever. Her spell made it so that Narnians were forced to stay frozen in whatever they were doing when the spell was cast; when the Witch passed away, they remained frozen in time for all eternity. Aslan found himself trapped under an enchanted sleep when the witch cast her spell on the land. He thought he would never wake up again when he heard voices coming from beyond his prison in Miraz's castle. Aslan knew that the voices belonged to the Witch's nephew, Prince Caspian, his lords, and the army. He also heard the voices of Prince Caspian's tutor, Doctor Cornelius , and his niece, Queen Susan. Aslan was determined to help Prince Caspian who was in danger at Miraz' castle. He decided he had one chance to wake up because if he did not, then Narnia would be lost forever.
